Recent Acquisitions And Old Favourites

It's been about two weeks since I got back from New York and I figured I might as well show you guys some of the things I got. The wonderful Alyssa Panda Eyes gave me the triangle ring, crystal earrings and hexagram necklace, all three which have been glued to me ever since.
I bought the bird skull ring at Topshop the other day to keep in the theme of dangerous jewellery.

Went to Opening Ceremony with Alyssa, Chelsey and Sean and walked out with Comme Des Garçons' Vettiveru Cologne which has quickly become my favourite thing in the world. I tend to either wear very airy and light perfumes (Flower by Kenzo, Infusion D'Iris) or very musky men's smells (Chanel's Cuire De Russie) so this was a perfect addition to my collection.
Lastly, no trip to New York is complete without bringing back tones of cheap St. Mark's sunglasses.

OCCULTER

What does one do with two whole days off work after an 11 day stint? Browse the internet of course!
I'm rarely at loss for words when I see beautiful things but Occulter really has taken my breath away. Occulter is the retail project of New York's Black Sheep and Prodigal Sons located at 83½ Orchard St.
It's like the goth-fashion version of Evolution (one of my favourite stores in the city)! I don't think you could find a salvaged piano ebony harness, solid gold cast honeycomb necklace or a limited edition version of Pamela Love's infamous talon cuff featuring carved 30 000 year old woolly mammoth tusk anywhere else, truly one of a kind.

If you guys are ever in LES I highly encourage you to give these guys a visit! I'm sad I didn't know about this place when I was in NY a couple of weeks ago. ):

Items featured in the graphic:
1. "Chogan" Harness
2. Seven Sacred Panets Pin
3. "Una" Twisted Horse Hair Bracelet
4. Gold Honeycomb Pin
5. The Golden Jaw

Fashion's Blackout

Fashion's Night Out should be changed to Fashion's Blackout on account of everything being sponsored by one liquor or another. Double-fisting vodka lemonade is so high fashion, right?
Some streetstyle photos taken at the Black Carnival (on Bond St.), Theory and The Griffin.

Oh, and if you guys happen to find the link to the Kai-aakmann styling contest before I do...VOTE FOR THIS LOOK. I was absolutely in love with every single piece on the racks and I need to win the $500 worth of clothes prize.

Fashion's Night Out 2010

So the internet is buzzing with talk of 2010's Fashion's Night Out. This year, along with New York, a whole slew of other cities including Paris, London, Berlin and Milan are participating in the festivities. The wonderful folks at FNO set up a handy-dandy planner on the website to help plan the perfect fashion filled night.

What events will you guys be going to ? Helmut Lang's block party? Alexander McQueen's raffle for a union jack clutch? Opening Ceremony's flea market?
Choose wisely because it's guaranteed to be complete chaos.
